I was originally drawn to Namaste Foods because of their name. Namaste is a sanskrit word that means the devine in me recognises the devine in you. How refreshing, a company that caters to special needs foods affirming us as whole people! So often we are treated as a nuisance, unworthy, an afterthought...

Namaste Foods makes baking mixes and meal starters that contain no wheat, gluten, corn, soy, potato, dairy, casein, tree nuts or peanuts. They are carefully carefully made in a dedicated allergen-free facility and contain no GMOs.

Sun Cups

I first stumbled upon Sun Cups in my local grocery store. They were in the natural section, on a back end cap, on a very low shelf. Honestly, I'm lucky they caught my eye. But I am happy they did!

A pack of two cups cost about $1.79, slightly more pricey than the classic chocolate and peanut butter candy, but worth it. They use all natural, environmentally and socially and responsible ingredients. And they are certified kosher, gluten free, peanut free, and tree nut free!

The cups come in four flavors: Milk Chocolate Sunflower Butter, Dark Chocolate Sunflower Butter, Milk Chocolate Caramel, and Dark Chocolate Mint. We have tried and liked all of them and they have become a great occasional treat for our household.
